However, in our days It is obvious that there is a continuous reduction of the value of the role of a school teacher. In a way this is a result of the fact that the school teacher organizes his course according to his own preferences.
An ideal school teacher should be characterized by some ideal characteristics. He should be possessed mainly from interest for his work. This interest will help him to become more effective, to face the students and the course with great love, to overtake any difficulties and to be led to the best possible result during the educational process. Such a school teacher prompts the students to the same interest for the course making them creative and active.
The friendly character of a school teacher can lead to an ideal course. It is particularly important for a school teacher not be distant and formal toward his students because this, many times, leads to negative attitude (behavior problems) of students towards the course and the methods of teaching. On the contrary, the attitude of school teachers towards students must be friendly, facing students with affection so that a relation of trust and safety will be really created. The familiarity that will hopefully be created between them will help students to share their problems with the school teacher and collaborate with him.
The ideal school teacher should also be patient with his students. The students as children are usually unpredictable and often speak with their schoolmates during the teaching process. This many
times can vex the school teacher, leading him to a continuous imposition of methods, fact that creates dissatisfaction to the students. The only way to overcome this is true dialogue which
constitutes a sure way for the achievement of ideal teaching. The imposition of any method will be supposed to constitute the utmost solution. An ideal school teacher should seek ways so that he
stirs the interest of his students.
The democratic mentality of a school teacher shapes very much the atmosphere of a school class. All students should be really faced as equivalent members, there must not exist any type of
discriminations and the teacher should be willing to hear the opinions of all students. Finally, the good and best students will be supposed to accept the corresponding interest from the school
teacher. Consequently, the awareness of particularity of each student can lead to the mutual understanding in the class.
It is very important for an ideal school teacher to teach in a comprehensible way and to transmit via his lessons models and values shaping the personality of students the right way. The school
teacher owes to advise the students, communicate with them and award their efforts so that a motive for them will be created. This is what they need in the first place. All in all, an ideal school teacher should love his work, love children, be creative and patient.
